The Green Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited (GBTU) is active throughout Northeast Wisconsin, bringing people together to care for and recover the rivers and fish we love, inspire the next generation to become stewards of our natural resources, and have fun and make friends along the way!
CONSERVATION & RESTORATION
As a conservation nonprofit, GBTU is the leading conservation organization working to protect and restore our rivers and the trout that call them home. We lead regular volunteer days, including tree plantings, trash cleanups, stream restoration, and fish-ability improvements. We support important community science programs and partner with TU national staff and state and local partners to drive forward larger initiatives like watershed planning, dam removal, and landscape-scale restoration projects.

YOUTH EDUCATION
There’s nothing more important than inspiring the next generation to step forward as the conservation stewards of tomorrow. Through in-school programs like Trout In the Classroom, kids fishing day(s), and partnerships with organizations like the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, the Green Bay Chapter reaches hundreds of area youth a year with positive fishing and conservation learning.

VETERAN’S SERVICE PROGRAM (VSP)
Given what they sacrificed to protect our freedoms, the Green Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited (GBTU) has the highest level of respect and gratitude towards our veterans. This is one of the reasons we started our Veteran’s Service Program over 10 years ago. The GBTU VSP meets regularly throughout the year for fly-tying events, fly-casting clinics, and fishing outings.
It is the least we can do to say “thank you” !

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
The heart of the Green Bay is the community of supporters who come together to make a difference locally, learn new skills and build friendships. Every year our calendar is full of fun events and activities meant to bring us together – best of all, most of them are free and all are welcome, whether you are a member of Trout Unlimited or not! From our monthly chapter gatherings (Oct – April), guest speakers, Annual Awards Dinner/ Holiday Party, Annual Conservation Banquet and other fun events, you’re sure to find something that you enjoy, and meet great people who share your passion along the way.
