Tackle Care
- Waders - After each tip to a watershed you should thoroughly washed, especially the soles. The soles can carry invasive species like didymo algae, mud snail and more aquatic hitchhikers. You should then allow your wader to dry, but not out in the sun. The sun can crack and weaken the outer layer of all type of waders.
- Rod & Reel - Never put you rod away wet, mildew can develop and eat away a materials on the rod. Reel should be washed in warm water, to remove sediments. Line can be wiped with a wet cloth, or a specialty line cloth.
- Flies - Flies should never be put away wet, they can matt and loose shape. Also they can fade onto other flies, or vice-versa. The hook can rust and weaken, or it can stain your fly box.
